چکیده

Background: The aim of the study was to evaluate radiographic features systemic sclerosis-associated interstitial lung disease. Patients and methods: 116 patients with disease (SSc-ILD) from 2010 2019 comprised our retrospective study. All were subject high resolution computed tomography (HRCT). ILD patterns classified into 7 as IIPs analyzed pathology. We chose two staging method semi-quantitative score methods HRCT performance pulmonary function tests. Results: Ground-glass opacities most common presentation on HRCT, followed by interlobular septal thickening, reticular opacities, intralobular thickening; honeycombing, traction bronchiectasis nodules can also be observed. pattern SSc-ILD nonspecific pneumonia (NSIP), secondly UIP. There no difference in between pathology, revealed a congruence. four evaluating presented this all had significant relationships PETs. Conclusion: (NSIP). coincide very well histology, will replace pathology gold standard for diagnosis evaluation SSc-ILD.

Genetic Susceptibility to Interstitial Lung Disease Associated with Systemic Sclerosis

Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a connective tissue disease that is characterized by tissue fibrosis, microvasculopathy, and autoimmunity. Interstitial lung disease (ILD) is a common complication of SSc and is one of the frequent causes of mortality in SSc. Although the exact etiology of SSc remains unknown, clinical and experimental investigations have suggested that genetic and environmental fact...

- Cerinic Interstitial lung disease in systemic sclerosis

Lung involvement frequently complicates systemic sclerosis (SSc), provoking loss of quality of life and a poor expectation of survival. For this reason an early diagnosis of lung involvement is warranted: high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT), pulmonary function tests (PFT), lung scintigraphy with DTPA and bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) are mandatory to define and follow-up pulmonary interst...

Interstitial lung disease in systemic sclerosis

Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a connective tissue disease characterised by autoimmune features, widespread vasculopathy and fibrosis of the skin and internal organs. The pattern of internal organ involvement and the natural history of the disease are highly variable. Although the etiology is unknown, most studies point to links between genetic predisposition and environmental factors. SSc has bee...

Predictors of lung function test severity and outcome in systemic sclerosis-associated interstitial lung disease

Systemic sclerosis-related interstitial lung disease (SSc-ILD) is the leading cause of death in SSc. In this study, we aimed to describe the baseline severity and evolution of forced vital capacity (FVC) and diffusing capacity for carbon monoxide (DLCO) in patients with SSc-ILD and to assess the baseline clinical, biological and high-resolution CT scan (HRCT) predictors of this evolution. Basel...

Imaging Lung Disease in Systemic Sclerosis

Interstitial lung disease and pulmonary hypertension (PH) are the most common cardiopulmonary findings in patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc). About two thirds of patients suffering from SSc develop scleroderma interstitial lung disease. PH is present in about 20% of SSc patients and is typically associated with severe lung disease, although it may be an isolated manifestation of SSc. High-r...
